The days that make it all worth it
When I first got to school an II student told me flat out he would not do any work for me, his aide agreed.
I have worked hard differentiating the task for him to make it more relatable. He told me he liked BMX riding so for clay we made a helmet and today glazed logos all over it.
At the end if class he told me:
‘Miss this is so awesome, I am going to take it home and keep it forever.’
Thanks to a broken kiln I will be working all night to bring forward my photography unit for next semester (8 weeks away) to NEXT WEEK! eeps!

This book was released about 2 years ago and its on sale on Amazon.
The limited edition is 3000 copies. Who knows how many there are?!?!
A limited ed. print of Audrey Kawasaki’s “I’ll Stay Here” is something close I can get. For now…
Anyways I need a new book to read. Happy Monday everyone.
Thanks for following me - I saw this going through your posts and I have now ordered and await delivery :D
These are my new Sally Hansen Salon effects (http://sallyhansen.com/products/nails/nail-color/salon-effects-real-nail-polish-strips)….. around AU$14. I think they should be tax deductable and heres why…..
They will assit me in teaching art history! Don’t they remind you of Andy Warhol’s use of the khaki print?
and then I can use (Sally Hansen Salon Effect: Girl Flower)

to teach them about Takashi Murakami
and then I can use… (Sally Hansen Salon Effect: Tribal-it-on)

to teach Bridget Riley and Optical Art
and then use (Sally Hansen Salon Effect: Fly with me):

and look at some Damien Hirst paintings….
Do you think it will fly??

The most damning information here:

This is why I will be sticking with Dropbox.

My mom’s tests FINALLY came back. No cancer!
Such great news!!!
I’m certainly more arty than crafty - but this evening tried my hand at making some Brisbane Lions arm Warmers! Will certainly come in handy as it gets cooler for night games now.
Last weekend I went down to Melbourne (Australia) to watch some footy (AFL) and catch up with some old friends.
I have been down a few times but this was my first trip to the National Gallery of Victoria and wasn’t the art nerd inside me excited! My partner went off to the footy museum but surprisingly his tradie mate wanted to come along with me. The look on his face when I was like’ Oh my god its a Rothko I never thought id see a Rothko in my life!!!!’ was priceless :P
I should explain the first two images are actually from the laneways down there. A plethora of street art. I found it amusing that while there three wedding parties were having photos taken, I overheard one photographer saying ‘let’s move down here this section has more of the pinks from your colour pallette’.
So anyway my faves of the day as above (not in order) were Mark Rothko, Bridgette Riley, Victor Vasarley, Josef Albers, Franseco Clemente (not pictured above but mentioned in other posts), Lee Krasner, Eva Hesse and Francis Bacon.
